On Saturday, more than 40 events took place across the UK in a nationwide day of action against fuel poverty. It’s the first time that people have acted together on the issue on a national level.
The scale of it highlighted how bad the situation has become. The energy crisis - and the government’s failure to act - has left millions of people unable to heat their homes this winter.
But individuals in towns and cities around the country got together in their communities to speak out and demand better. From Glasgow to Hastings, these groups shone a spotlight on fuel poverty, and on what the government must do to protect people and planet and lower energy bills for good.
Here's a glimpse of what went on, and why it's so important that we keep going until the government implements the solutions we're asking for.
